Advisory Council

The ACESS Advisory Council consists of distinguished individuals selected from industry, academia, government, scientific, and technical organizations. The main function of the Advisory Council is to provide guidance and support to further the objectives of the Akron Council of Engineering & Scientific Societies.

Advice and guidance from the Members of the Advisory Council is sought as follows:

1. Provide an evaluation and critique of the activities undertaken in the past year by ACESS at an annual Board meeting held in Spring for this purpose.
2. Suggest worthwhile programs, which ACESS may undertake in the future.
3. Help in identifying potential speakers for the annual November ACESS Honors & Awards
4. Provide guidance in identifying potential sources of revenue to effectively pursue ACESS programs throughout the year.

Additionally, the Advisory Council members are encouraged to attend meetings of the Board of Directors and the annual ACESS Honors & Awards Banquet.
