Teacher Project Grant Program

ACESS recognizes the need for students to carry out experiments and projects to further math or science education at their school. Teachers from the area schools submit requests for grants for specific projects to help in obtaining equipment and supplies.

Recently seven grants of $500 each were awarded for the following projects:


1. Betty Indriolo, St Sebastian School. "Polymer Properties & Problem Solving."

2. Jeff Funk & Ryan Durr, Chamberlin Middle School. "DNA Lab Activity."

3. Ryan Durr, Chamberlin Middle School. "Genome Project ."

4. Heather Van Orman, Kimpton Middle School. "What is Density?"

5. Cristina Jones, Our Lady of the Elms Middle School. "Understanding Light and Sound."

6. David Ternent, Kimpton Middle School. "Force and Motion."

7. Jim Brown, Kimpton Middle School. "Rockets."

2008-2009 Science/Math Grants for Teachers

Application Form

ACESS is requesting applications for $500 "Science/Math Grants". Please submit one or more applications describing what the school would do with such one-time grants (more than one grant may be awarded to one school). These grants should be used to carry out a "hands-on" science experiment, to sponsor a science-related event or field trip, or to further math or science education at your school.
